How does the game fit the theme?
You have to navigate the dungeon for the magic tomes based on the directions of NPC's, which you can either follow or not follow, trust or don't trust. Along with the fact that the world itself may be working in ways you cannot trust. Also the ending relates to trust too, but I won't spoil that.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The textures for the dungeon and rocks, along with the NPC models, I made prior in another project of mine. The player's movement is made up of parts ripped out of the player controller of the other game too(though tweaked and most of the features were removed). Also the sounds were sourced from free sources online.

This game is interesting! I think the 3D perspective works really well, and everything feels super smooth to play. I also weirdly love the walking sounds—they remind me so much of Minecraft haha. I found myself constantly trying to figure out whether I could trust what each little character was telling me lol. In the end, I managed to collect 3 tomes 💪 Really fun experience!

if you only collected 3 books, that means you missed out on the best parts of the game cuz the best parts come after that.. also, i did actually source a sound from minecraft, tho not the walking. The dialogue sound is an edited version of the old "oof" hurt sound

I gave it another try and managed to collect the other two books! And when I walked straight through the wall afterward, I finally understood what “Trust No One” really meant. I’ll definitely come back and try some of the other endings when I have time.
