Some suggestions for now

I tried the demo for shits and giggles, didn't expect to start pulling out charts and theories for team comp lel.

So far, it's going pretty well! I completed everything that can be done with a half box full of trained mons (both wild caught and trainer stolen). I've had a couple sessions just random encounter battling to increase EVs and was able to capture the additional mons (both Deoxys and Froslass being the notably hard ones) I understand the difficulty behind the game and how it may turn people off (in both ways).

Here are some suggestions:

  • Add multiple small padding before the optional boss encounters: Instead of adding a difficulty setting, you could instead add more NPC battles (hell maybe even new ones with new scenes) with specific mons that could improve helpful EVs to prep players before the said bosses. I would suggest making it quantity over quality—giving 4-5 NPC encounters to allow some exp and EV to be given before the main battle. Maybe also adding an NPC that would tell the players what the bosses' weaknesses are or what mons to consider when fighting them.
  • Give players a small tutorial about EVs: Since a decent amount of players wouldn't know what EVs are and how much they can help, you could potentially add an optional tutorial so players would understand how EVs could carry the shit out of your team(then have the tutorial be on a unique goonable NPC like the professor while you're at it to entice players to try lol)
  • Add an option in the menu to go back to the main menu: Just for peps who wanna soft reset instead of having to hard reset by quitting the game.
  • Add a gallery for the scenes: Just something to consider near release/finish...no need to prioritize this.
  • Add paths for different endings (Neutral, Bad, True, etc.): Just an idea...potentially giving exclusive scenes maybe

That will be all for now, keep it up!

These ideas are great, I would like to second this
