Nice one!  The space bar to advance is great until you hit the same dialog loop over and over again trying to play fast. That's a minor gripe - fun!

Developer

Didn't notice that lol, I was advancing the dialogs with a mouse while testing. The space bar plays the first choice in the choices menu where you have to choose to end the dialog in some of them, I'll look into it. Thanks!

Where I'm standing: As someone who designs narrative systems and writes interactive fiction, I look closely at how jam entries leverage limited scopes to build an immersive emotional state. This submission enters the space using an immediate, moody framing—combining atmospheric unease with a distinct spatial identity. That structural choice shapes my entire reading of the project.

Theme — 4.0 / 5.0

The game uses its core premise and environmental isolation to fit the constraints of the jam naturally. Rather than treating the setting as a superficial coat of paint, the design functions as both a physical containment space and a platform for escalating tension, making the environment an active participant in the experience.

Creativity — 3.5 / 5.0

Taking familiar indie horror tropes and twisting them into a vehicle for psychological unease provides a solid, engaging hook. While it occasionally treads familiar ground within the genre, the execution leans into distinct mechanics and atmospheric choices that keep it from feeling entirely routine.

Presentation — 4.0 / 5.0

Visually and aurally unified. The aesthetic fits the atmospheric horror mandate like a glove, keeping visual clutter low while preserving a moody grit. Combined with strong ambient audio design—hums, silence, and acoustic cues—it does the heavy lifting to keep the player on edge.

Gameplay — 3.5 / 5.0

Mechanically direct and functional, keeping interactive friction low so the focus stays squarely on the mood. Interactions are straightforward; while they serve the narrative arc well without overstaying their welcome, the loop remains fairly linear and light on deep systemic depth.

Story — 4.0 / 5.0

Atmospheric and sharply paced. The narrative premise weaves isolation and psychological tension together brilliantly. It relies on implication and unease to leave a distinct impression over a compressed runtime.

Horror — 4.0 / 5.0

The game excels most in its mood. By capitalizing on psychological anticipation, isolation, and a creeping sense of dread, it generates genuine unease. It bypasses cheap jump scares in favor of a persistent, slow-burn state of anxiety.

Overall — 4.0 / 5.0

A tightly scoped, highly atmospheric horror entry that punches above its weight in mood and presentation. While its mechanical loop is brief, its commitment to a singular, paranoid narrative identity makes it a memorable piece of jam craft.
