Este juego es muy raro, muy difícil, y lo pase muy bien con el!! Me pase igual 2 horas intentando llegar al final, con los malditos monstruos siempre al lado mio. Solo llegue al final (si el cuarto con la puerta roja es el final) porque encontré un exploit que me dejaba juntar a los monstruos en grupos pequeños para poder superar la pantalla. 

Tiene muchas cosas que mejorar, muchas cosas que no funcionan, no hay menu ni formar de pausar, ni sistema de inventorio. Pero si tiene encanto, y es un juego de el que no me olvidaré. Sigue creando cosas! Este es mi juego favorito del jam :)

Me gustó este juego. Los monstruos son divertidos y la dificultad me molesta, pero incluso eso fue encantador, en cierto modo. Suerte en futuras game jams.

Running into a language barrier with Puerta Roja—since it is entirely in Spanish and I cannot read the language—means I have to experience its framing strictly through its systemic design, visual language, and audio cues rather than its text. That structural limitation naturally shapes my reading of the project.

Even without parsing the written dialogue or narrative text, the game communicates its core concept through spatial cues, recurring motifs, and atmospheric dread that align with the constraints of the jam. While the language barrier obscures the finer thematic nuances, the underlying architectural and atmospheric choices still gesture toward a cohesive central idea.

Creativity — 3.0 / 5.0

Taking a localized, language-specific narrative setup and translating it into a playable indie horror format provides an intriguing framework. While the mechanical loop and navigation tropes feel somewhat familiar within the jam space, engaging with a foreign linguistic landscape adds an unintended layer of alienation that alters the pacing of exploration.

Presentation — 3.5 / 5.0

Visually and aurally unified. Despite the text being inaccessible, the aesthetic presentation carries the heavy lifting—establishing a moody, intentional atmosphere through lighting, spatial composition, and environmental sound design that transcends language barriers.

Gameplay — 3.0 / 5.0

Mechanically direct and functional, keeping interactive friction low so navigation remains the primary focus. Without understanding the text prompts, interacting with objects and progressing relies heavily on trial and error, but the core loop remains straightforward and digestible over a short runtime.

Difficult to fully evaluate due to the language barrier, as the narrative delivery relies heavily on Spanish text that I cannot read. From an ambient and structural standpoint, the pacing hints at an underlying narrative arc, but the emotional and story beats remain largely opaque without a translation layer.

The game's strongest asset across the language divide is its mood. By capitalizing on spatial isolation, eerie soundscapes, and the disorientation of navigating an unknown environment without clear instructions, it generates a persistent sense of unease.

A tightly scoped atmospheric horror entry that suffers somewhat when experienced across a language barrier, yet still manages to convey mood and presentation effectively.
