What makes your game "meaningful"?
This is a personal narrative about what's left when love fades in a relationship. The emptiness, the forgetting, the self-blame. It's a story about trying to take refuge in nostalgia only for it to slip away, and having to find the heart to continue anyway.

Generative AI disclosure
I described the game to Duck.ai to come up with a summary for the game page, but I just used that for ideas, the final words in the page are mine. No AI was used at any point in the actual making of the game.

Very unique! Definitely gets the nostalgia concept just right
SCRIPT:
We met at the espresso bar I was working at. I remember. He was nice to me.
We chatted for so long that I got in trouble for slacking off, but I didn't care. There was a lot I didn't care about then...
I've never been wanted before, not for teams on the playground or group projects in school. Not for any good colleges. Certainly not by anyone I liked. (pause) It felt good to be wanted.
It was all so exciting. I remember trying to memorize everything he said to me. To put it away in little box in my heart, all covered in hearts and glitter. His favorite color, his favorite albums, his favorite food.
Now, all I can remember now is that he liked pancakes better than waffles. He said pancakes were easier to deal with. Waffles had too much going on, I guess. Too many gaps that need filling. Too much missing in them to bother with.
The more I try to hold on to how special I felt that summer, the more it slips away like smoke. Maybe because I'm really not special at all...
I don't remember what he ordered the day we met. I've been trying to remember, searching like it's somehow important. Like there's meaning hidden somewhere in all the smoke...
Do you like waffles? They're all I have to offer now.
Unfortunately the view gets locked looking straight up and only spins around with no way to look down. Such a shame was looking forward to playing this based on the screenshots and the description.
For context I'm using Firefox so it might be a Firefox specific issue.
Really great to see a Hitchhiker's reference!
Nice concept for the game. I couldn't get the expresso to work though :)
