Finally got a chance to check this out!
Catching the waves can be quite difficult to visually see, but once you get the hang of it the smoothness of it is really satisfying and the vibes of ocean against the stars are on point.

have noticed that you can suddenly lose momentum (probably because its hard to judge the wave)and its a bit hard to get going again, but other than that, great time!

Had to play this a couple of times to get into a good spot, and then it felt great to surf around and collect things. Just think it's a bit easy to get stuck in a state where you are slow and between waves, and then can't move fast enough to quickly get surfing again. I had to restart a few times until I managed to land on a wave immediately and started diving for speed. I think maybe just increasing the speed you can move when not surfing, so you can get to a good part of a wave to start diving again

Loved the allies, felt so cool surfing around with wingmen. All you need is a badass song that comes in stronger as you gain altitude

It was quite hard for me to figure out how to do the wave surfing properly. I think a big part of it is that it's quite difficult to see when the slope starts going up, especially since the slopes are constantly changing. I eventually managed to fly long enough, mostly by judging based on camera angle. But I would still randomly misinterpret a wave's slope and slow down to a crawl (i.e. it was hard to consistently fly). Maybe if I had more clarity on when I was speeding up and when I was slowing down, it would have helped?

Then, I wasn't entirely sure how to destroy towers. I think you just sort of bash into them, but that doesn't always work, so who knows. I eventually got one of them, and it told me to go save a friend, but I spent a couple of minutes looking and couldn't find them. The towers had those green beams of light, but I couldn't find (or missed) the equivalent for the friends. So eventually had to quit it there.

I'll say that when the mechanics worked, it feels really nice. I'm wondering if being way more lenient on speed reduction would make this better; i.e. making it easier to do the thing that's fun. At least initially. But there's also something to be said for feeling like you're mastering the skill, so maybe not.

Anyway, nice job.

YO thanks for the more detailed analysis!

Yeah the wave clarity could have been a lot easier maybe if the up and down slopes were a different colours altogether it would work better. The same goes for changing speeds.

I think clarity over forgiving controls would make the game a lot better. That being said I'm not sure there's much more game here that hasn't already been done by Haste or Tiny Wings.

Thanks!

Got that tiny wings in 3D <3

I think the camera following the player threw me a little. But got really into it. Good job <3

Hahah exactly, thanks!

Great vibes! Also loved the drifting mechanic. Very satisfying when I caught my first wave!

NICE! Thanks for playing

Awesome feel to the game! Once I got the hang of it, getting some really good air time felt pretty awesome. Great work!

Thanks Onti! Yeah air time is best time, but the controls are pretty unintuitive to start.

SUPER cool, yoh - sublime once I managed to get the hang of it a bit
