What makes your game "meaningful"?
It's a personal letter to my late mascot and also my first published game, my first experience making every element of a game from scratch.

Did you use any third-party assets?
No. Art, writing, and music are original works made for the jam.

Generative AI disclosure
Didn't generate with AI, yet used it to help with synonyms in the narration since english isn't my first language.

This game made me ugly cry

I have always had a dog in my life and now I'm in collage we cant have one and it breaks my heart.
I love the storytelling and the music to back it up but maybe a more fluid movement system.

Otherwise it was a lovely experience and made me miss the clicking paws on the hardwood.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked! I believe the rigid movement came along with the engine I used, which was also picked on purpose to focus on other elements of the game than the game mechanics itself (to stop procrastinating and post something haha). I'm glad I could give you a good experience through my submission

Thank you for this experience.

I like the powerful base in the music!  It is also fitting the theme as a heartbeat or dare I say - an ever present pulse.

The story had me tear up when I read about the trash - reluctant to clean it when it did happen, but finding oneself wanting to clean it again. It's stupid but that is true love - when you accept the good and the bad.

Developer

Thank you! It was my first time doing music, and I took much inspiration from the Minecraft OST. I believe nostalgia comes with the memories, were they enjoyable at the time or not, just the feeling of having had them and recalling them with a smile. Glad to read your comment!

the gameplay is perfect and narrative is pretty touching. Could've used some lighter moments like happy memories which you already remember.

Thank you! I take the opinion in consideration for future ideas :]

Developer

Thanks! I was surprised by how simple bitsy was, allowing to develop on a no-code way, glad you liked it
