  • Right off the bat, the artistic style really drew me in for this game; I really love the hand-drawn artistic style. On that point, though, I think some of the visuals can get slightly muddy together, where I am not 100% sure what I am looking at.
  • Having the choice to click multiple things on every scene is very fun and I think it could benefit from fewer game-ending options even though the game is short. These options would be fun and could possibly add more context to the world we are in or just exploration elements that could give hints for future paths. On that point, I ended up really enjoying the cave scene, where you get to either stay or leave. I think having more similar choices would add a lot instead of being game-ending would add a lot of player autonomy and make the game feel more choice driven.
  • Being a point-and-click, I think adding a simple click sound when you interact with buttons would add a lot of value to the game. It’s something small, but I think it would add a lot of immersion.
  • I think you are off to a great start, and this story could really be expanded upon! Great Job!

Dropping my playtest notes here:

  • Right off the bat, look right and look left buttons seem to be in reverse. (i see now that others have pointed this out)
  • Interactable text boxes? I like this a lot, I wish it had more of a purpose. I thought it was very interesting that I edited the text and it stayed that way in future attempts.
  • The dialogue made me chuckle along with a lot of the death screens.
  • Some visuals were great while some were a bit hard to tell what is going on. The shark sequence (Ending 1) was great and I loved the visuals.
  • The look back button is bugged and seems to softlock me in the cave.
  • Nice screen transitions and point and click progression, I would like to see more endings because this is a nice start. Great work!

Cute artsyle, I really like it a lot actually! The transitions between the different scenes is also smooth and solid, I like the narrative style of this game! It is definitely pretty short, and having a back button for certain areas/more endings would be nice if you plan to add more to this game, but what is here is neat! There was a bug I noticed in the cave section where the look back was not working if you went further in, but otherwise things worked well!
