Hey everyone! It’s been a while, but I’m finally back with a new game called Flood Rush.
It’s a retro-style kayak racing game set in a city that has been completely flooded. You race against three other kayaks while trying to avoid traffic cones, floating furniture, barriers, market stalls and other obstacles. You’ll also need to pass through checkpoint gates, find shortcuts and use your boost at the right time.
The controls are simple: steer left and right, press the paddle button to build speed and use boost when you need an extra push. Paddling with good timing helps you move faster, so there’s a little more skill to it than just holding one button.
There are ten different courses, including a harbor, flooded city streets, an old market, a subway and several other locations. The first three courses are available from the beginning, while the others can be unlocked by finishing races. You can also earn medals, beat your best times and unlock new kayaks.
I’ve spent a lot of time working on the gameplay, courses and overall design, but I’d really like to know what other people think. If you try it, please leave an honest review or comment. Tell me what you enjoyed, what felt difficult or confusing, whether the controls felt good and what you think could be improved.
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you have fun with it!
