Hi everyone!
I've been working on a side project called GemOn, and I'd love to get some feedback.
The idea came from thinking about how we discover small games online. It can be really annoying having to look through screenshots, trailers, and descriptions before deciding whether a game is interesting or worth downloading.
So I wanted to experiment with a different approach:
What if you could immediately play a small snapshot of a game before deciding whether you're interested?
GemOn lets developers submit playable versions of their games, currently designed around roughly 5-minute experiences. Players can then discover and move between games, similar to discovering content on social media.
Note: The goal isn't to replace itch.io—you can't download games from GemOn. It's meant to help people discover games and then find the full project if they're interested.
GemOn is still an early working prototype, so I'd really appreciate any criticism, ideas, or feedback on the concept and current version.

How it currently works
Right now, GemOn is built around game jams. Developers can submit games to a jam, and players can discover and play the different submissions.
The basic loop is:
Discover → Play → Save → Learn More → Next
For testing/submitting, games currently need to be web-playable and uploaded as a compressed .zip file.
