DMS-1 is a fictional 16-bit console designed as a coherent machine from around 1989-1991.

Around a defined hardware architecture, a Motorola 68000 GDK, a reference runtime and a complete set of creation tools.

The Public V1.0.0 includes:

• Motorola 68000 GCC development pipeline

• DMS-1 runtime and hardware specification

• graphic, map, collision, actor and scene creation tools

• audio tools and DMR music player

• starter game template

• a complete platform demo using the five DMS-1 video modes

• Furnace workflow for FM, SSG and ADPCM music

Hardware includes a 68000 at 10 MHz, Z80, 64 KiB RAM, RGB333 graphics, five video modes, 4 FM channels, 3 SSG channels and ADPCM.

The idea is to have a fictional console that can actually be developed for, with its own limits, tools and workflow.
