How does the game fit the theme?
Cards are played face down wearing whatever face their owner announced — the truth, or a lie. You look at what you're shown and decide if you believe it, then call the liar before the lanes flip. Right, their lies burn and they pay you; wrong, your own board turns face up. The cards never lie, the players do: trust no one at the felt. Works solo against the house cast, or with up to 4 humans (host a table or matchmake) where the lying is real.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
CC0 packs: Kenney (UI, furniture, fonts, sounds), Quaternius (characters), KayKit (props). Parlor table model by Danubis / One Dad Studio, given for this game. Music: "Deadly Roulette" by Kevin MacLeod (CC BY 4.0). Wall art: public-domain paintings. No generative AI.
