I'm playing on Linux with Lutris (Wine).

It has been a while since we last played, and I saw the comment that while it looks the same, it is supposed to be an "entirely new game", so I started by going to Training and then Basic Tutorial, but it did nothing. I then went to Practice Mode, which did work. It seems like I can only pick one character. None of the abilities shown on the "Character Select" screen make sense to me as I don't know what those numbers mean, and nothing tells me how to use each. The text at the top seems very out of nowhere and again tells me nothing about the character or prepares me to learn the game.

Moving seems to always use Dash, which appears to have 4 bars, and takes one to use, or as part of an attack. Everything seems to require using energy of some kind that replenishes over time, and it feels like the game has a large focus on resource management. Using abilities sometimes replaces them with a different ability. That makes planning combos tough, especially as a new player trying to learn the mechanics. There are a lot of systems here, and this really needs a tutorial to teach everything. After playing around in the Practice mode I only started the regular fight to see how performance was, as I remember the old version was really bad. I did a dual, and the performance seemed OK. I only did one fight, mostly button mashing, so no clue if any specials might cause lag, but what I saw seemed playable... if I understood the mechanics.

It was pretty difficult to get the hang of as there is a lot going on, resource management + rock paper scissors + positioning is a handful. The training mode helped a lot to get the hang of things, and I was able to beat a few enemies.

I don't play a lot of fighters so I'm not sure how par for the course this is.

You should also add a real suggestive warning to the page, you do have one in the opening, but its also a joke layered in about 5 other jokes. A lot of the comedy and memes thrown in didn't land with me personally. (Maybe more for the anime crowd? IDK)

Defiantly a unique experience!
