The game has promise, but I gotta be honest I have a handful of issues, firstly it's a little too obvious that all the pixels are of different sizes and the visuals end up taking a hit as a result. The idea of needing to protect npcs as they reach a designated point was interesting but it seemed like all the enemies just charged me and ignored them and at one point they managed to hurt me without even being close by. With some polish and better progression I'm sure that this could stand with all the other vampire survivors games out there, keep it up!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. All your points are really perfect. Unfortunately finding the assets was surprising difficult for me and I had little choice to pick different pixel sizes. There was a plan to make the progression smother and guarding the npcs but it ended  reduced to helping them move only. I am focusing a little bit more in the mechanics as programming is something easier to me so regarding the progression and others system I may release some updates within this game JAM. Thank you for playing.

I love the vampier survivors style! its a really nice little game although I don't really understand what kills me.

Developer

Thank you for playing! The monsters attack are quite fast. If they get close to you for some time they can take your hp really fast. The "optimal" way of playing is just holding right mouse so you can span heal yourself and keep moving to not be overwhelmed by the monsters. I you try to update the game to make the monsters attack more clear.

I am not sure if I am missing something but enemies stop coming after I destroy about 10 of them. Sometimes a civilian is saved, sometimes not

Developer

Hi itchimplied! The game works like this: For each wave 10 enemies are spawned. You need to pick all books in the map  (There are 6 of them). Each book is + 1 wave. And the civilians sometimes they can get stuck between monsters or rocks so the idea is to give them a small push for them to move. They should be able to save themselves. I am sorry for your bad experience. I should have written better instructions. Thank you for playing!

Oh very sorry, it's my bad! The controls only talked about the left and right mouse so I didn't know you could move with WASD!

Developer

There is no need to apologize. Entirely my fault. I will try to give some polish to the game given that the rules allow it to fix this issue. Thank you for your feedback!
