We are White Blossom Studios, a small indie studio currently developing our first project.
We are looking for a 2D Artist / Character Artist interested in collaborating with us during the prototype stage.
What do we need?
Primarily, we are looking for 2D character spritesheets and basic character animations.
For our first prototype, we currently need approximately 8–9 characters.
What style are we looking for?
We are looking for a stylized, hand-drawn, and consistent 2D art style, not pixel art.
We have visual references and project materials that we can provide to interested applicants.
Important: We currently cannot pay
White Blossom Studios is an indie project in a very early stage, and our current budget is $0.
The collaboration would be voluntary during this initial phase, with the goal of creating a playable prototype that we can later use to present the project and prepare a Kickstarter campaign.
We don't want to hide this fact or make financial promises that we cannot guarantee at this stage.
If the project receives funding, we will be able to formally discuss compensation and collaboration terms for the following stages.
Who are we looking for?
You don't necessarily need to be a professional artist. The working conditions are completely flexible, and you can work at your own pace.
We understand that unpaid work is not particularly motivating, so we want this collaboration to be as flexible and comfortable as possible.
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys indie game development.
- Is interested in creating 2D characters and animations.
- Can maintain a consistent visual style.
- Is interested in becoming part of a project from its early stages.
