TANGIBLE
It is a short experience that is a digital recreation of a physical joke / gag.

INTENTIONAL
They pick up 52 cards that have been scattered. I truly tried to capture the comedic bit in a digital form. I feel like I succeeded in capturing the experience in a compact and tiny package.

NOVEL
This is my first game created and released using Godot. I struggle with completing games, and forced myself to finish this one in a polished state. So I forced myself to think small and STAY small, but also deliver something I can be proud of.

YOURS
The game itself... is not very "creative". It's an age old bit... but what makes it mine is my intention to capture the charm of the joke. The delayed question timing. The splat of the cards. The music. Were all implemented with the intention to feel... funny. I know others may not find it as funny as me, but I have already shared invaluable laughter with friends and family... so It has done it's job I think.

Hey, thanks for submitting! Haha this is a great entry, totally hits the brief. You mentioned you struggle with completing games, how would you rate the amount of effort this entry cost you in terms of getting to the finish line?

I really like the polish you've applied in this. From the outline/shadow on the font and how everything bounces and moves in response to the player, to the groovy BGM and satisfying SFX - and of course the eye-catching BG - these are all really great examples of high quality game polish. I think you could definitely use your strength in game juice to explore how it affects other aspects of game design. Do you have a goal for your next TINY game?

It means alot that the polish is felt even in such a basic game! I actually struggle with polish / game juice in most projects, as it's one of my weakest aspects as a developer.

I would rate it a 7 / 10 due to how simple the gameplay is, but my focus on polish and actually finishing the game was a challenge. Making a simple mechanic feel satisfying is a skill I hope to master!

A lot of my effort was just tweaking effects until they felt satisfying, and finally achieving that was an accomplishment in itself for me!

My goal for the foreseeable future is to make TINY games that I can be proud of. That means perfecting my understanding of Godot, polish, and game juice before ever branching into more complex projects.
