I'm looking for a 3D artist to collaborate with me on my indie game.
This is an unpaid hobby project, so I currently don't have a budget. However, the artist will receive full credit for their work, and if the game eventually makes money, we can discuss revenue sharing.
About the game
The game is a puzzle game. The protagonist is aboard a spaceship traveling through space when they discover a non-human probe. Inside the probe are several objects and clues that can be used to determine the location of the planet from which it was launched. The goal of the game is to understand and connect all the clues in order to locate the planet, where there may be signs of alien life. The entire game takes place inside the spaceship. The protagonist cannot return to Earth because, during the journey to Uranus, Earth has become uninhabitable.
What I need
I can model some smaller things myself using Blender, but I don't have enough experience to create more complex assets. That's why I'm looking for someone who enjoys 3D modeling and would like to work together on the project.
- The main visual style is inspired by games such as Outer Wilds and Event[0].
- Some of the assets I will need include:
- Spaceships and probes
- Small interior objects and furniture
- Posters
- Plates containing clues, similar to the plaques sent with the Pioneer spacecraft
- Other environmental objects
I develop the game in Unity (URP) and will also handle the game design. However, if you have ideas during development, of any kind, they are always welcome.
You don't need to be a professional artist. If you're learning Blender and would like to work on a real game project, you're welcome to contact me.
If you're interested, feel free to message me and ask me any questions about the project!
