PawnStars - Advanced chess

Built from an old clunky console code where you had to type in every move.  Now with pretty graphics and advanced functions that not all free chess engines have. Current version is for Windows.  A pro version is planned with even more tools/options.

  1.  Load FEN and PGN codes
  2. Time control. All from No lImit to Rapid
  3. Undo your last move and the AI's reply
  4. Customize any game...(have 30 queens on the board)
  5. Board flip (your own pieces are always drawn at the bottom)
  6. Resize the board for almost any window
  7. Algebraic notation (every move is recorded and stored for AI memory)
  8. Difficulty levels — Easy (depth 2), Medium (depth 4), Hard (depth 6).
  9.  the AI search uses alpha-beta with move ordering   (captures first), so it plays much stronger at the same depth.
  10. Positional evaluation — piece-square tables, pawn-structure penalties   (doubled/isolated pawns) and king-safety/endgame handling, instead of a bare  material count.
