Hello there! I came across your game again and decided to give it a proper try this time around, have to admit, been enjoying it a lot more.
I also have to say, it's been quite a while since the last update from what I saw on Itch that I thought the project was abandoned, then checked your Patreon page and saw that there are recent posts thankfully.
Anyways, I came across one gamebreaking bug that seems to happen with every battle and a few minor bugs that I wanted to report
The gamebreaking one happens when you basically want to drink a potion during a fight. Initially, it was working perfectly fine, but as I progressed through the game.. the game now crashes and gives me this error

I think I might have figured out why this gamebreaking bug happens, even though it doesn't really have any correlation that I can think of. I may have learned two skills at one point during my playthrough which could have caused my save to become corrupted. I used an older save file from that same Playthrough where I didn't learn any new skills and everything worked like normal
As for the minor ones:
.- Lancet's sprite art when you inspect him the very first time we are introduced to him happens earlier than it should. You are shown his character portrait a little bit before you even have the option to check him out
.- After you do the tutorial battle, Phim gains enough experience to reach level 2.. but everytime you defeat an opponent in a fight after that, Phim seems to have been downgraded to Level 1 and he also doesn't seem to gain any experience anymore
.- Saving on Page 2 doesn't seem to work, I tried saving several times but the slots are always remaining empty. I don't know about the other pages though as I haven't tried
.- The Fullscreen option inside the Display's tab doesn't seem to work, I was trying to make the game full-screen because sometimes there are dialogues that you can't read because of the resolution but couldn't make it work at all
And finally, how do you actually progress through Lancet's quest and gather the herbs? I know that there is an RNG event where you basically steal some from the Kobolds in the Kitchen, is that the only way currently to get them? If so, I think you should reconsider tying up quests to events that have a chance to happen and instead give us direct areas that we can head to and do the quests, much less frustrating that way.
Also, since I'm on topic, I'd also suggest making going to the Village and to the Forest of Dreams a Landmark that you can unlock via exploration rather than part of the series of RNG events as it currently is. I'm assuming those two locations would be relevant to the story at some point and having them locked behind RNG would be frustrating if there are Quests or important things to do that require those locations.
Other than those, the game is quite nice. I like the artwork and the little story I've been able to find so far is quite nice, really like the characters so far too, Lone is becoming a favourite.
Looking forward to what's to come!
Thanks for your post, I appreciate your kind words and interest in my game!~ <3
The reason for the growing length between updates is because the aim for .29 is to really finish up a lot of what the game is supposed to be,so things like combat, quests, story, and items/shopping will be more carefully tweaked with the actual gameplay in mind rather than as aspects that have the foundations made but without being filled out.
The levelling is restricted to avoid issues before encounters are more tailored, though in hindsight I should have unrestricted it so that people could buy more skill points since the only way to currently get them is through levelling.
Questing is still being added to and adjusted, Lancet's quest is more of a test, so .29 will be a bit more fleshed out.
Part of .29 is adjusting the exploration mechanics to make the castle exploration more intentional.
The Village and the Forest of Dreams won't be in Act 1 of the game, but it will be in Act 2.
For more recent updates, I have a more informal devlog in my discord server, so if you're interested in seeing how progress on .29 is going feel free to drop by ^v^
Hello ReeFlee, thank you for your interest in my game!~ <3
the next update is tying up all the loose ends left in .28 along with a bunch of changes to the explore system.
It's going to take much longer than the other updates but should hopefully be worth the wait.
update .3 is planned to be mostly focused on bugfixing and polishing the finishing touches for act 1, but .29 should be a complete game by that point.
Because of all the assets needed to finish up the game to the quality that I'd be satisfied with, the hard limit of time is dependant on the money I earn each month to pay for commissions which isn't a lot.
My discord server has a more up to date dev log where you can see sneak peeks of what i've been working on, as well as beta tests of updates before they're publicly released.
