Hey everyone! My name is AndritoX. I'm a 13-year-old developer from Latvia, and I'm looking for a few passionate creators to help bring a massive retro racing vision to life!
Drive Master is a 1998 PS1-style low-poly arcade racing game set across an open-world Texas. The full game features a deep, character-driven story following an 18-year-old who inherits his late father's RWD-converted '83 Civic-type car. It plunges the player into an elemental "Fire vs. Water" street-racing war between two childhood rivals: Max, a hot-headed drift purist with a dragon-livery AE86 type car, and Tom, a cold, calculated grip racer with a shark-livery Impreza WRX STi type car.
The game features branching campaign choices where you can choose a side or go lone-wolf in New Game+, unlocking massive regions across Texas, including huge Cities, dense Forests, vast Deserts, and Small Towns.
The core programming is handled by me in the Godot Engine, built natively for PC keyboard purists with sharp, responsive physics, a spacebar handbrake, and a sequential Tier-Lock vehicle upgrade system.
To bring this world to life, I am looking to team up with:
- 1 Car Modeler: To build authentic 90s vehicles (Civic-type car, Supra-type car, AE86-type car) under a strict budget of 200–300 triangles per car.
1 Environment Artist: To help design the low-poly 3D regions and tracks.
1 Prop/Asset Artist: For low-poly details like trees, speed bumps, and 2D character garage sprites.
1–2 Composers: To craft a high-energy late-90s Jungle, Breakbeat, and electronic tuner rock soundtrack.Important Note: This game is an unpaid hobby project. If the game earns money, it will be split.
Our immediate goal is to launch a polished, 16-event closed demo for one specific streamer by Christmas 2026, with a public demo following shortly after. If you love 90s street racing culture, retro aesthetics, and tight arcade loops, drop a comment below or send me a message! Let's build something legendary together.
