Use of the limitation
the score is called Lumen and its also the main resource of the game you spend your score on upgrades dashing Nova activating beacons and keeping stronger systems running so getting a high score isnt just about collecting as much as possible you constantly have to decide if you want to keep your Lumen or sacrifice it to become stronger and survive longer the final score is also strongly based around the Lumen you earned and how you used it so the score is basically the core of the whole game
