I do not know of any Higurashi forums. I spend more of my time on social medias than forums. I used to have Discord but I hate the app and I already give up using it. I watched all of Higurashi and already seen a few longplays of the visual novels, I enjoyed watching the anime more than the VNs because the games are very boring you can only read with no interaction and mini games was removed from the English Manga Gamer version! As for the comics they are written better and richer looking art compared to the anime or the games, I still prefer anime because I grow up with watching anime more than looking at comics and back in the day there was never any VNs released officially in the US before, if they have been then maybe perhaps we could have got the Higurashi VNs first instead and the 2nd season Kai could been dubbed to English if only more Americans saw the games just to buy all those season 1 dvds. Thats why we never got season 2, low sales mean low popularity at the time when it was just discovered on the market, not a lot of folks would ever know Higurashi back then on the internet and only I happen to know Higurashi after seeing a few Mugen fighting videos when I didn’t know Shion was when I first saw her in a match against Totoro before! I later looked up Higurashi when I got really curious about the character I downloaded at the time for my Mugen and that’s how I later found out more about Higurashi and honestly I really wish the series should deserve better audience outside Japan, the main problem is for other countries, anime dubbing companies who brought Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, and Digimon within our shores would think those were the only things kids would enjoy more while those dubbing companies don’t seem to make enough research and the only way they get to know that series when they ordered a package for their respective channels to dub and air at the time! Anime was much more seldom to the US back in the day when we got Totoro, Dragon Ball, and Sailor Moon when our local dubbers used to think those were the only kinds of shows that American children could see or enjoy watching meanwhile Japan is always more complete because everything we watched started there before they later get shipped to our country to dub, only a few complicated processes such as licensing, hiring voice actors, and packaging would be some of the issues a English anime company had to go through and sometimes that process usually doesn’t succeed if our dubbing company lack enough funds to cover a planned series to dub or having issues dealing with their voice actors. Only that lesser known shows such as Doraemon in the 80s would never get dubbed because the channel who wanted to bring that show over to US could not find a English dubbing company around that time before 4Kids or Funimation exist yet. Slayers almost never got dubbed if Funimation did not pick it up after Fox Kids failed to broadcast it due to censorship problems (there was blood and nudity from time to time throughout that show which wasn’t meant for younger eyes the same goes for One Piece of course) Higurashi never got aired before, only they happen to appear in the US in the form of dvd boxed collections likely to test the waters with a lesser known anime and only because horror shows and films are usually a very popular thing for the US nowadays lol.😄

I check Game Jolt to see if theres really a “Borealis” there and strangely his name doesn’t exist there? I figured he’s lying just to send me back to Game Jolt and I don’t consider switching back there anytime soon as I already been on GJ for a long time and wanted a break from all the toxics I had badly experienced there before. I was harassed with insults and spam on Game Jolt! The first time I check here it look cleaner and more friendly to my at first until I just joined and this weirdo started attacking me right when I introduced myself!🙁 Do not take that guy seriously.
