My game ties into the theme because even though you are going to die, you climb the mountain anyway to watch the sun explode together.

Loved the vibes but couldn't finish it :/
Not bad for your first game! The graphics are hilarious, the phone call system is too. The moveset shows promise but I do feel like the buttons could be more spread out (maybe z to jump & x to taunt?) The walljump was also kind of janky, sometimes it straight up didn't work lol. Either way good stuff for a first time project!
Thanks! Yeah I have been told many times about the wall jump system, the reason it's so janky is because 1. you have to be wall sliding to be able to wall jump, and 2. you have to have a certain downwards velocity to be able to wall slide. I don't know why I coded it like that but at least I know what I did wrong.
Vibes of Super Meat Boy, here...
yeah this is def a good rage game keep up the good work
Really cool game, it's super hard but fair. I couldn't finish it :( maybe I'll come back and try again one day
The little hang time makes me giggle every time.
The controls could have been a bit more spread out, was hard to do all one 1 hand
As a good rage game, I planned playing it for a bit and wasted a good half an hour on a single screen. Amazing jam entry, honestly very impressive for the first game you ever made.
Player feedback, I enjoyed the platforming quite a lot. At the start I didn't think much about the taunt mechanic, but it made a lot of sense as I progressed. The only mechanic that I had a tougher time with was the dash - the only way I found out I could cross the bigger distances was by charging dash and taunting, which "stored" the max dash charge so I could use at the top of my jump. Not sure if this was an intended mechanic though, because I got stuck inside the mountain, on the screen that has 3 flags. I really couldn't figure out how to reach the really small boulder at the top of the lava wall on that first distance you had to cross. Even so, I had a LOT of fun playing the game, nice job!
Thank you for the kind words! The dash thing you were talking about wasn't intended while making the game but I did know about it before submission, I just decided to leave it in for a bit more depth in the movement kit.
Ngl I was moving like the Cuphead dash tutorial journalist on the first dash tree level
Ifyk what i mean lol
Hey we dropped a comment on the game page as well but I really liked your game. I didn't get very far but I'm invested so Ill probably keep trying!
cute platformer, i like the voice acting
W game, Im very sad i couldnt make it past the first real level
ima keep trying
i'm way too bad at platformers to go far in this one but honestly the silliness of the game made me chuckle more than once

SO HARD but the movement is deceptively deep!! really enjoyed the weird art style and vibe genuinely very unique and NOSTALGIC :)
10/10 I feel like I'm back at school in IT class playing a flash game whilst the teacher isn't looking
This game was hilarious and I appreciate the taunt mechanic as it came in clutch to emotionally regulate myself while I kept failing jumps. The vibe is immaculate even if I didn't reach the top of the mountain
