How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The Pawn Line is set in an old pawn shop, sorting a nightly stream of secondhand junk... except some of it isn't junk at all.

Rare, glowing items are worth far more than the common stuff, and spotting them fast improves your score!

The game itself has a pretty good idea and for a game jam was pretty damn executed! I think the game feels more like a NES game than a gameboy one.  The gameplay itself could be a little more frenetic or maybe with more features (which I DO UNDERSTAND it's kinda hard to do on a game jam). The track itself is nice but kind of repetitive (but who am I to rate this since my game has no soundtrack). There is only one thing I did not understand, what difference does holding the spacebar makes in throwing the item? every "force" I've applied worked and cause of that I felt a lil bit confused. These little flaws do not dim the light that this game is. I've already participated AND organized game jams and I know that even finishing the game is something to be celebrated and congratulated. Good job on the game and the best luck for yall!

thank you for your kind words! yeah it's our first game, we mostly wanted to test how we work together as a team and just get a finished game out, so this means a lot. it was our first time creating sprites for a game, music, working with Godot etc. (we've played around before but not something too serious). we mostly joined the jam in order to challenge ourselves.

also good point about holding space, it actually decides which shelf row the item goes to (upper/middle/lower), not the force, guess that wasn't clear enough haha

thanks again and good luck with your own games too!
