Minimalist Spelunky + Random Guns That Also Mine is just a winning combination for me what can I say?
Some of the guns don't feel very different - though they all feel good - and the final boss is a touch too hard. But I like the minimalist art (I especially love the menu!) and I think the game is pretty fun.
However, I think it's worth calling out that you technically shouldn't be using any of the royalty free audio you are using. I think it's a rule that possibly makes the jam unnecessarily harder, but it is the rule this year.
Oh, my bad about the audio. I guess I didn't read it thoroughly. Yeah, I just saw it clearly in the FAQ; at least it was fun making something.
Fits the theme and the artwork is simple but effective at getting across what things are. I think the font when you start the game is a little small with a lot to read so some of the letters get jumbled like the N in now so I was confused at first if it was W/M/N. Other than that, nice game :D
Thank you for playing! The font is actually made from a bitmap in like 3x5. And drawn using a function. Cause using normal font I can't make them to not break the resolution rules.
This way, I make sure they are always the same pixels. Yeah, I can see how it's hard to read those. Maybe it could have been wider.
