Gameplay loop was well done, graphics in place were clear and understandable! soundtrack was simple but gave that primal driving feeling which I enjoyed! Overall well done! Good job!

How does your game meet GBJam's theme
You can collect Gold from hunting Enemies. The Gold loses some its Value, when you take to long to collect it

Everyone else has covered my thoughts pretty well. Enemies had good variety - they were visually distinct, and had clear behaviour differences.
The amount of income you get is pretty well tuned to always (usually) allow you to buy at least one thing per day, but you do have to make choices.
I think I understood the upgrades, but could have been wrong. (Health, passive speed, active speed, damage, arrows per minute - with potential other options including duration of active sprint, and travel speed for arrows.)
It's a shame your "border" is just the default unity skybox as this isn't part of your colour palette. Next time either set up some plainly coloured tiles, or set the skybox colour to match one of your 4 colours in the camera settings.
The core mechanic of this game is great. I like that different animals behave differently - some flee, some attack - and they move in different ways. It is definitely hard to kill some of them, but it is also more satisfying when you do.
The concept of the upgrade system was great, but it didn't seem to do anything noticeable for me.
One tip for you: If you are going to participate in future GBJAM jams, then note that there must be exactly 160x144 square pixels on the screen. This is not the case in your game. For example, the animals move one screen pixel at a time, instead of one "game boy pixel". The easiest way to achieve proper square pixels is usually to set up the project to render at 160x144px resolution, and then scale it up afterwards in a pixel-perfect manner.
Nice game, i love the mood. I like how different animals attack you. Probably the only thing is that they are really hard do kill, i spent different days just to try kill a single deer. I also liked very much the uis, probably after a while it gets monotonous. But overall a nice interesting game.
interesting game!

i found shooting the animals to be pretty tricky at first because you continue moving while shooting and some of the animals move quite often and in fairly unpredictable patterns. shooting diagonally is especially tough. my initial reaction was that the mechanics could be improved quite a bit, but after a while it actually became a fun challenge to master. having unlimited arrows really helped to keep missed shots from being too frustrating.

i like that there is such a variety of animals and each one has it’s own distinct behavior. the deer(?) are probably the toughest to take down because of their movement patterns and they take so many hits. birds are also difficult to target, but at least they only take a single arrow. also sometimes an arrow will go right through them.
-
the lack of UI indicators like health bars and shooting cooldown also was a bit frustrating but in the end makes it sort of more realistic in a way.

upgrades are a nice idea and i think could make this game more fun, but they didn’t seem to change the gameplay in anyway. i didn’t notice a difference between when i started to when i had maxed out everything.

the day/night cycle also didn’t seem to have any significance. it could be cool if there were different animals to hunt during the day and night. it would also be cool if there were some rare animals that show up night and give a special reward item or something. to add another dimension to the game, the day/night cycle could also be tied to a hunger meter and you have to kill enough animals to eat each day so you don’t starve. maybe each animal gives you an amount of meat and you have to choose whether to eat it each night or sell it at a market, then you use the gold you get from selling to buy upgrades.
-
i was hoping that it would have some kind of satisfying ending, but it seems to just go on endlessly.
overall, pretty cool little game. i enjoyed it!
Hey, thanks for this great feedback^^
The shooting is really a bit tricky :P
We are really glad that you liked the variety of different animals patterns :D Was one of the things we wanted atleast to implement^^
Some features really are missing like the UI Indicator you mention. Good if its gives a realistic feeling. But not on purpose xD
And the idea with the day/night (rare) animals is really really cool :D
