I am disappointed spending my five bucks

So, truth be told, I am playing a free version, so, I can't say what is going on in the full one.
But, through backtracking and replaying, I've struck the best possible German gambit

Narvik-Ardennes-Merkury-Malta-Japanese in the Far East, no America, and finally, seizing Moscow
This automatically makes my situation better than the German one. So, I dug in and decided to go for oil directly, avoiding Stalingrad. For whatever reason, I still got Uranus, though I wasn't even in the city, and somehow got Kursk without first getting Kharkov.
The capture of Moscow, though by no means a final blow should allow me to launch a more successful operation later on, don't want to throw in historical data around, as it will pollute the discussion with walls of text. But still.
So, the determinism and lack of options in the scenario are rather bad and ruin the experience; I don't know if more branching would be added later on.

Also, the writing could see some improvement away from the overly official ChatGPT style.

Yeah, I downloaded it, and I was rather dissapointed, it is not worth five bucks, and the althistory paths are either lame, or don't make sense at all, even a lot of history notes make little sense, and many of the decisions are questionable. I have made a huge complaint list, but itchio seemigly doesn't allows me to post due to "missing token" error

So, instead, I shall compile it all here

Developer

Firstly I wish I could hire you! Best round of feedback I have got and really appreciate the time you have put into putting it together

I have spent the evening reading through your Google doc will try to give some answers or insights.

Downloading

1. Packaging my first game on itch and hasn’t been perfect trying to get the right setup and pipeline trying to work on that and can solve it for the next release and hence the full mobile browser to try and support that gap. Apologies for the pain

Content

1. Map is definitely WIP - Only released this real world map on the last update. It was built on a previous coloured circle system so to build the whole geography will take time but will do it including those additional regions. I would really like this it to flow following decisions and some running in the background

2. Text is such a balance, as easily 100,000+ words with handwritten text but used AI to help with tone and consistency but looking at removing that and I am handwriting updates each time

3. Really love the perspective feedback, I do think my own perspective is naturally (incorrectly) Western biased and Soviet section is the weakest and will take onboard that and update. I want the game to focus on staff operational friction instead of moral hindsight anyway

4. The Alt-History is the newest additions in content. The game was never intended to have it and actually held against it for a load time but adding in the speculative tags following player feedback so that will keep getting better

5. Campaign start dates were chosen as generally the way it could potentially forks out beforehand is greatly different and then generates lots of new writing but will think about the Soviet start date

I am still actively working on this so hopefully I can get 3 stars from you soon!

Have some other projects I would be interested in getting your thoughts on so drop me an email if you are interested

Will do, if you drop me some way of emailing you, as itchio doesn't really allows that.
