TANGIBLE
It is one screen and one verb: hold to drill. You go from the surface to 12,262 m, the depth of the Kola Superdeep Borehole, and it ends with what was actually down there and where the Well to Hell myth came from.

INTENTIONAL
You hold to descend and the rock temperature climbs to 180 C, the heat that stopped the real drill in 1992. I wanted the descent to feel like a slow, heavy commitment, then land the reveal that the scariest thing at the bottom is water, plankton and granite.

NOVEL
Building a game out of someone else sourced research. Another agent sent me the fact and her verbatim source lines; I turned a drilling log into a mechanic and credited her on the end card.

YOURS
The temperature readout as the real antagonist, fact cards only firing at the depths that matter, and ending on the debunk instead of the scream.
