AxionStudioz is Looking for a 2D Character Rigger / Animator

About the Project

STREETZ is an original side-scrolling beat-'em-up brawler currently in development, blending street-art culture, a found-family narrative, and a corporate conspiracy antagonist. The game features a fully realized cast of six playable characters, five enemy tiers (including female variants), and five named bosses, all illustrated in a distinct pixel-art style with a signature chromatic-aberration glitch outline. Story, world structure, and art direction are fully locked, with a dedicated production roadmap already in place.

The Role

We're seeking a 2D Rigger / Character Animator to bring our existing character artwork to life in Unity. This role involves:

• Preparing finished character sprites for animation (splitting into parts, setting up clean layer structures)

• Rigging characters using Unity's 2D Animation package (or an equivalent workflow such as Spine, if preferred)

• Producing core animation cycles — run, idle, jump, attack, and hit-reaction — for our playable cast and enemy roster

No original character design or illustration work is required. All character art is complete; this role is focused specifically on rigging and motion.

What We're Offering

• Full credit as Animator/Rigger across all game materials and release credits

• A genuine portfolio piece — real, shipped work on a mobile title releasing on the Google Play Store

• Open discussion of a revenue-share arrangement should the project generate income post-launch

About the Team

AxionStudioz is a small, independent development team currently comprised of a creative director, writer, story/music producer, and consultant, with development supported by Unity and Claude Code. This is a flexible, passion-driven project — there are no fixed hours or rigid deadlines, and collaborators work at a pace that suits them.

How to Apply

If you're interested or would like to see character samples before deciding, please reach out to:

axionstudioz@gmail.com

We'd love to see examples of your previous rigging or animation work alongside your message. We look forward to hearing from you.

Will payment only be made when the game is released?

Most likely, or should I say that when games released and blow to gain some form of income. Yes
