How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The game is unfinished, but the concept of the game was intended to be about a game boy robot created by a scientist called Dr. Brew. Dr. Brew sends his game boy robot into an abandoned game store in search of the last copy of an unreleased game.
Legend says only one last golden cartridge survived before the game studio was tragically destroyed by a fire.

i love the runing animation and i love that we can see the gameboy back when going in door. it was challenging but fun ;)

Really digging the player character's design! And you even gave it a back sprite - a nice little attention to detail!
It would be cool to see this eventually finished - with some twists and additional mechanics + obstacles as the player progresses.

Really cool concept! it was fun to play, enjoyed the gameplay with smooth movements and animations. Music set the right mood and the background story got me really wondering about the last golden cartridge. Also liked that GB-01 is somewhat like me, GB-C haha

Fun little experience! Short but competently made and without any bugs. The little guy is cute and the story is on theme! Even unfinished as you say it deserves five stars for Gameboy Soul! Well done!

Cute and competent! The last level was a little tricky, especially with having to remember that spike pit below the key, but it was doable after a couple of attempts. Excellent expressive design on the characters!

Really enjoyed this submission even though you stated it as unfinished. Music was fitting and I especially liked the Gameboy console being the player character running around the level. Nice submission even in it's unfinished state!
