This is a fun game. Having your own cozy cafe is fun to play. Maybe there is a place to explore further. The one thing that could be changed is the control scheme. But I think you've got something here that is worth while.
Quite fun! Amazing work for the short time period. The art was beautiful. I wish that recipes were slowly introduced instead of everything all at once, but there is already such a big game for the time you had. It would be a nice future upgrade. Wonderful game :3
Everything about this submission was great! {music, pixel art, gameplay, dialogue} very well made in such a short time. Love it!
Super cool game, very well put together, the art the sounds the gameplay, I think it's the best I played in this game jam, very well done, no idea how you managed to do all that in such short time. I wish the timer was a bit longer, I had to re-check the recipes each time, but maybe it's just my bad memory. Overall very good, big like.
Thank you so much! That's very kind of you to say! We definitely lucked out with how our team members jelled and the time we were able to spend on it.
Great game! reminds me of when I worked food service just way more cozy! I struggled with the controls especially when trying to get through the lunch rush but otherwise i really enjoyed the art and story!
Thanks a million for playing! Really glad you liked it 😊
Great work! Seems like a good game to play with some coffee on a rainy day. Love the vibes.
Thank you so much! 💕
This was delightful! The music is nice, and "figuring out" the extra recipes is actually really fun! My biggest struggle was just getting used to which commands do what, and I had some issues with folks overlapping making it hard to see orders or select the right person. That latter one was actually kind of a positive though, since it made it feel very realistic to trying to get orders out in a crowded cafe rush cycle, so it added some fun challenge!
Thanks so much for your feedback! Really appreciate you playing! Admittedly it would have been easier with mouse controls, but we couldn't do that for this jam 😅
I really liked the game! It got really fun after a while. I do think that the biggest caveat is the UX. Figuring out which key to press, the trays, the customers etc. The orders get really overwhelming at some point and it's not about making the order, but more about hoping that you already stocked the order that came in. Especially with coffees, because you can't control these that much. But I suppose that's a realistic cafe work experience. But overall it was really fun and got me to play more!
Yeah basically it is a time-management sim where you just gotta be prepared for the LUNCH RUSH haha
But I understand the keys being confusing. We may need to have a more solid tutorial or something in the future :) thank you for your feedback!
Art is absolutely gorgeous, and the music is also really good! All the gameplay is really polished, and everything feels nice and responsive. Story is also great, and I like the interpretation of the theme!
Only things I really noticed that bothered me, though very minor, were the controls taking a bit to get used to, sometimes orders and character sprites overlapping, which made it hard which order belonged to who, and the mixels.
Other than that really nice job, had a blast playing this one :D
Yeah the controls are tricky to map too haha because I remembered that oh no we can't use mouse! Lol. Anyway, thanks for playing though and I'm glad you enjoyed :D
