This is a really small game, but good for your first game ever, well done! The best thing imo that can add a little extra to your game is some music and sound effects. Well done :)
The first step is the hardest one. Keep taking steps!
Pretty fun continuous runner! Congratulations on your first game!
Good job for a first game! Keep it up!
For a first project, this is actually really good; we all did a first project at some point—the important thing is to keep creating.
thank you for sharing your first game, keep creating!
Good stuff! We all start somewhere, and getting a project of any size completed and successfully released is an awesome first step - especially within the restrictions of a Game Jam! Hope you keep working on more stuff in the future.
As a next step, music and sound effects can really help bring a game to life, and it's pretty simple to implement in Godot with a little practice. To get a song playing uninterrupted throughout the entire project, import the song into your project with loop toggled, add the song to a AudioPlayer node, make it autoplay, and make the scene an autoload. There's some good guides on Youtube to follow along to.
Freemusicarchive and Pixabay are great places to find some CC0 tracks.
SFX are a little more complex, but once you've got the hang of the audioplayer it just becomes a matter of triggers. Chiptone which you can find on Itch is a fun way to generate your own SFX for retro games.
for a first game this is amazing actually amazing its keep going buddy
100 score!
Def Good Job Submitting, you made it passed the filter that separates you from everyone who says they want to make a video game. My biggest bit of advice would be to keep going, and learn more about Godot.
This is my first game btw. Sorry if it’s buggy.
This entry feels a little bit shallow.
Some minor things you can always do to improve your projects is by adding at least a background music track and by changing the font to fit your theme more. On my screen(16:10) i have greay bars on top and bottom, being bad for immersion.
