How does your game fit the Magical Girl Genre?
Angelica and Estella use magical spell books to make scones bake faster, summon more ingredients, and make customers wait more patiently for their orders.

Which theme(s) do you pick?
Blue Library, Hell Burns Red

How does your game fit those theme(s)?
Blue Library: The game features a blue library called the Stardust Library, containing the magical spell books Estella borrows. This appears at the end of each stage when the player chooses which book to borrow next. Hell Burns Red: If a customer's order isn't served fast enough, they become angry and you must fight them in a red battlefield of their rage. Also, the player has to keep track of the scones they are baking, or they will burn.

If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
All the graphics were made during the jam, except for the bullet sprites and the player hitbox marker. All music was made during the jam, but most of the sound effects were sourced from online.

Super fun to play! The last baking day really had a lot of pressure - messed up one order and it was like everything else started falling apart lol. Only thing I think felt off was after picking up the duplication upgrade, I'm not sure if I was supposed to hold down the ingredients to make more. Like I would drag the milk over the pan, and some would go in, but the milk would still be lit up like I hadn't done that part yet. The music was super nice, and I enjoyed getting to read your comments on them from the main menu, as well. The transitions between everything were also really nice. Really well done overall!

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed! You're right, when you get more ingredients, you have to hold down on the bowl for longer to add them all in.

Oh my god, I absolutely love cooking games. I’m so happy I got to play this!

I’m a huge fan. I really like the art style and the story - the little breaks between cooking sessions are so cute. The cooking itself is genuinely fun, though the pace at which customers arrive is really unforgiving at first. The battles were a blast, too! I loved the effects; they were really well done.

All in all, fantastic work!

Thanks for playing! It seems there might be more of a crossover of magical girl game fans and cooking game fans than I thought. I actually didn't expect that the pace would be harder in the beginning, but I guess the first and second levels could gradually decrease the delay between customers to slowly build the pace up. I'm glad you enjoyed the battles too!

I love games where you have to bake things to serve to customers. I felt like this one picked up the pace a little fast, but once I got into the rhythm, it felt satisfying to finish a day. I am not as big of a fan of bullet hells, so I found myself avoiding those sections. (Although, the last day is just straight bullet hells, so I had to push through that). This game shows a lot of polish, and I don't have much critical to say about it. I really enjoyed playing.

Thanks for playing! Basically this game is a part of a series of other bullet hell games I've made. I didn't know whether I wanted to include bullet hell in this game at first, but I'm trying to do new things with bullet hell and I thought it might be interesting to blend the genres. I tried to make the bullet hell sections not too difficult. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This game is SO much fun! One thing I definitely want to mention is that I felt like the game was too unforgiving. I did also have frequent issues during the bullet hell segments in fullscreen when my mouse would move off the screen, likely because I have multiple monitors. The art and music were lovely!

Thanks for playing! To be honest, I wasn't really sure what the difficulty of the game would be like to other people, but I'll probably adjust it a bit after the jam with everyone's feedback. Hmm, not sure what workaround I could use for people with multiple monitors...
