Just started, did the tutorial, and now Its night impossible to get my first signal, I get the console is crap at the start but this is stupid, by the time I find a signal and get one satillite there then go to bring the seacond one, the signal is just GONE, is there a way to disable signal decay, its really bloody pissing me off.

Yeah, you're not gonna be able to meet all of the tasks' requirements during the first days. That's by design so you clean up the base and earn income by selling scrap, trash bags, and explore somewhat. Updating the console means you eventually can achieve it without much issue by the end of the first week.

It is a little hard to get the signal segment of the game started. This is one of those games that takes a hot minute t get to a stable point. Once you get the proper upgrades it becomes a lot easier and better to manage. What fulanopepito said is well put, during the first 3 days is basically a grace period. Nothing happens during that period so just focus on money, hunger and energy, a little exploration is not a bad idea either. Take that time to make some fast cash, i personally like taking the drone bag around the base and getting as much trash/props I can sell. Once you're over that hurdle and get upgrades assigned then the game goes a lot smoother and can ramp up rather quickly with events.

It woulda been bloody useful to know theres a bloody grace period, but then again this is VotV where barely anything is explained outside of basic mechanics and how to fix shit. yay

Yeah, I play a lot of games like this one so it has became a habit to read like a fun fact page or something before or as a I play.
