Played and I enjoyed it because it made me feel profoundly uncomfortable. It reminded me of my early days on the internet and how I would interact with folks. I said this in another message to you, but this was the start of when I began "masking" (without having the language for it) and started to sorta shut down on people, thinking they didn't want to hear from me. And the way things come out in the conversations you wrote was way too real for friendships I've had in the past. Feeling like a burden, and then having it confirmed, and then shutting down and having a hard time letting future people in. And the hardest part: literally asking someone for clarity/feedback/boundaries, and being brushed off and told everything is fine until they explode on you. It's rough. Well done. 💜

Strong voice and great pacing.

I was uncomfortable by the content and felt that the story tone was meant for a younger audience.

Which is valid. I just didn't finish the game.

The enthusiasm and ability to descriptively convey emotion and situations was very immersing.

You definitely get the world building and creativity award. It’s certainly challenging to take a fantasy world and present it through letters in a way that isn’t pure exposition, and I think you did a solid job.

We’ve all had relationships fall apart in part due to different communication styles. It was a relatable story told through unique characters in an even more unique world.

Being that the jam was in Twine, I would have liked some agency in the form of choices. It felt like reading messages instead of playing a game. The length was also a bit long. Having a shorter story with more choices would have kept my interest longer. If you’re short on time, you can fake player choices mattering with a diamond pattern. Google “diamond pattern in branching narrative” or “branch and merge pattern.” All you need is the illusion of choice.

Overall, an extremely creative story and an impressive submission for 3 hours of work.

Nice submission! Is there anywhere to read more about the world?
