The main antagonist, Rootmuncher, is eating the roots of our home tree. As Bugsy, we defend the roots and thus our home!

Loved the intro scene, the game I just mashed the mouse button and seemed to win. One critique, I got stuck in the settings menu, I couldn't find a way to go back other than to refresh the page and restart.

Thank you for playing and sharing feedback! We had many more plans for the combat but had to cut stuff due to time. Initially, we envisioned the worm to burrow and leap out of the ground even.
P.S. The settings menu has an exit button... that is pretty much the same color as the background! That's on us :p Perhaps a future patch will improve Bugsy.

Wow! When I started the game, the cut scene was pretty amazing! Then a boss fight and the end scene! Pretty well executed! I can see lots of potential here!

Interesting game, you have an intro animation, a settings menu, and the premise is interesting. Good job on making it. On feedback, mainly, there is no grace period after taking damage. The game is short, but there is a game. The music and art are good, but if you were to continue working on it, it seems you have a base. Good luck. (Also, add a fullscreen button for playing the game)

We hadn't added fullscreen button because when you go fullscreen, it's just same small size game and black background :p I think due to something related to build settings or UI canvas scaling in Unity. Perhaps a few patches will arrive for Bugsy... we were buzzing with ideas during development but ended up cutting a lot of stuff to make time. I think such is the nature of game jams...?
