Hi all, I developed Rogue Resistance for the last 9 months! Of course I am using Pixel Frog art for 90%+ of the game. I am getting very close to a Steam Launch (hopefully Jan.2026) and I would love if anyone could give me some feedback on the DEMO. More details on the link
Looking forward to it!

pretty nice game. nicely polished. One thing I noticed (maybe its thought so), when you select next level, the narrator starts talking, but when you click fight and the battle begins, he is still talking.

Thanks! It was on purpose, but I agree it might be better to stop the narrator there.

since this will be put on steam i would consider updating the ui in some places like the places you can move

but anyways great game

Hi pizzahammer, could you give more details? I am looking at polishing it as much as I can. Would be great if you could give more info as I did not understand so well. Thanks!

ok sure by the ruined houses at chapter to if you look at them closely you can see some gray patches and with the movement ai in battles its a little ugly in my opinion

Thanks! that helps :)

after playing a bit more i think u should consider making it a bit easier having a few boss waves of course but not a ton of really hard levels right after each other especially the turtle level it was literally impossible to do any damage to the big ones

Hey Pizza, thanks for another great feedback. I will review their behaviour, most likely making their guard ability more expensive.

My idea with the turtle was for the player to learn how to manage the enemy AP (ability points). At 3 ability point the turtle casts the guard, so in general you should not attack it while it is guarding as it will build AP again.

ok what was happening was they would block and right after they would block again

Hey, nice game I liked it. Big turtles cast turtle guard too much making this fight near impossible.

Hey Peter, similar answer as to the other player above. I will surely review their behaviour, most likely making their guard ability more expensive.

In general, my idea with the turtle is for the player to learn how to manage the enemy AP (ability points). Attacking an enemy makes them get an AP. At 3 ability point the turtle casts the guard, so in general you should not attack it while it is guarding as it will build AP again.

The game told me to attack 2 turtles so I figured I’ll ignore smaller ones since they keep spawning indefinitely and focus on the big ones. I spammed double attacks on the knight and all other allies attacked the turtle to remove its shields and then deal dmg - look how it’s done in expedition 33. I managed to kill one of them and got the second one to 50% before my team got wiped. One thing I don’t like is I never know if I fight with given amount of enemies or they will keep spawning.

Thanks Peter for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I tried to make the mission statements more clear at the start of each battle and also if you go to the Settings during it.
I also made the Turtles slightly weaker, having to use 4 AP for their ability instead of 3 AP.
