How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The main theme is Gameboy which I think i did manage to at least cover the basic requirements! I hope.

The second theme was ''Old Gold'' and I thought; Oil could be considered as valuable as gold and it's kind of old.
Could be the old gold that some people want to claim for their own.
I went for more of a metaphorically interpretation of old gold, hopefully that's okey! and if it's not, well I guess I failed the task then and that's just funny.

Nice game, I eventually let me kill myself cause I felt overpowered!!!

The game has a good difficulty curve but in the end you are just overpowered and there be no way to be defeated. The game is a very good basic structure to become some good base defenders game. Sounds where good and art was visibly good.

Maybe add on the page what each upgrade does? Just a nice tip.  Overall well done!!

Developer

Thank ye! I never got to add more waves and increase in difficulty due to unity at the trying to screw my project over.
Lots of quick solutions were deployed for the last sprint of developing the prototype.
Glad to hear that it wasn't visually too messy or anything!

Also, thank you for the reminder! I knew I said this before but I shall add the power up descriptions so people will know what they do!

Really fun. I got completely swarmed once things picked up, but the side-switching mechanic kept it interesting. Great arcade game!

Developer

Thank ye! Glad that yer enjoyed it!

I really really liked the game! I managed to score around 100. The game is pretty fun and addictive. I didn't know what all the power-ups did, but I was shooting 4 bullets at a time and loving it! Great job.

Developer

Thank you! I actually forgot to make a small screen explaining how the power-ups are currently working, I should probably add that to the game page.

Fun fact;
Originally the power-ups were supposed to only be obtainable once you finished a wave of mooks.
You'd be shown a small screen with a small  selection of powerups which you picked from,  each power-up having their own quirks and such.

This is the last of the name twins of our game i'm trying out. Idk if you know the cowboy shooting mini game in stardew valley but this really reminded me of that, and i loved that. So i also really enjoyed this, its fun t try and beat your highscore. The weapon side switch is a really interesting mechanic and you feel like a genius if you manage to get a good combo with it. Its a shame that the size is so small but by zooming in its still playable (at least in my browser) nice game!

Thank you! It's funny that we got like 4 games with the same title!
I haven't played Stardew valley but I'm familiar with it, didn't know it had a mini game with similar gameplay.
If only Unity didn't decide to be a silly billy the last day, I would've had some resolution controls implemented  so people wouldn't have to break their eyes by squinting too much.
Glad that ye still could enjoy the game!

Good game! Very simple, yet effective. Did play for a while, and did get pretty far but I did sadly die after they started swarming at mass. I do suggest adding a bit of feedback juice, like small particle effects for feedback.

Developer

Thank you, glad ye enjoyed it! 991 seconds is a pretty good score!
I'd admit that the game is a lil bit lacking in the VFX department.
There were plans on adding some more particles  however;
With my game project having a stroke the last day and me being too afraid that it'd be too messy with too many particles for such a small screen, I decided to hold on with adding more.
In the post update I'll probably start adding more feedback and fix some of the sprite work so it wont be too messy with more particles.

+1 for the paint art. Paint is love!

Developer

Thank you! paint is always a funny tool to use to just draw stuff in!
Paint is the power house of art, such truth, such power!

Cool game. Furthest I made it was 75 seconds. It was fun and easy to get the hang of. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you! Glad yer manage to enjoy it in such a small screen!
