How does your game tie into the extra theme (optional)
Every dog in Guard Dog is part of a family line. When your dog falls defending the flock, it's buried in the row of graves behind the barn, and its pup takes over the watch. The pup gets its parent's coat, and every upgrade you've earned passes down to it. Each night adds another dog to the family tree. Even the monsters are rooted: turnips, potatoes and rutabagas crawl out of the fields after dark.

A very fun and beautiful game; it was a pleasure to play.
Very fun game! Love the graphics and the mechanics. The upgrades were well thought out and the objective health is very unique, using different animals instead of one central structure. Well Done!
this is a super fun game!! the graphics are adorable, the concept is great, no notes!!! could play for hours
the title screen is super cute, defending the chickens is nice. it kinda feels like a bummer that either my dog or all my animals have to die in order to move on and get upgrades. I do like how extensive the upgrades are, its good options. animals cute.
Right?! I came up with the concept for the game before the jam started and once I saw the theme "root" I had to find a way to make the dogs have family roots!
The original idea was to just have the dog faint and wake up and the livestock would run back into the barn.

I really love your concept, playing as the dog with the goal of defending the flock is really fun and engaging! You've put a lot of thought, creativity, and effort into it
I think it is a really good game.
-I liked how you used the optional extre theme of roots. The fact you added the dogs generations mechanics I think is fun and it makes sense with how dogs lived in farms and the where buried back in the barn.
- The pixel art is great, not too simple, not too complex. My fav was the dog little animations when it runs and bites.
I would have enjoyed you added some brackground music to make it more cosy and mesmerizing. I could play this game unironically not only to rate it. Good job :)
