The Quiet Relay — Ren’Py investigation starter with a complete free demo

The Quiet Relay is a complete investigation you can play in your browser, then open in Ren’Py and adapt for your own story. A relay prism has disappeared from Bellwether Signal House. Explore three locations, collect eight pieces of evidence and compare two witnesses’ accounts to work out what happened.

Play the free browser demo and get the source examples.

Evidence recorded in The Quiet Relay

For creators, the example shows an exploration loop, an evidence dossier and evidence presentation, including irrelevant clues, unmet prerequisites, repeat visits and a conclusion. The free Tiny Signal download includes the same MIT-licensed toolkit in a minimal source project.

The US$12 full source package adds the complete editable mystery, original SVG artwork, an integration guide, extension recipes and focused engine tests. It is source for Ren’Py 8.5.3; the SDK is a separate free download. The native tests were run on Linux, and the complete hosted browser example was checked through its ending and save/reload. Other native platforms have not been verified.

AI disclosure: code, story text and vector graphics were generated with OpenAI Codex. The product page and included documentation explain the licences, testing and support limits.

If you try it, comments about confusing interactions or reproducible issues would be useful. The complete browser mystery and minimal source are free to explore before deciding whether the full example fits your project.
