This game looks and feels very cool! During the first round I've absolutely no idea what I was doing, but almost immediately when I started the second round it I understood it and was having fun. The game is awesome an with your art style you could go far. Also, the amount of content already present? This could be a real game, you know... So much potential.
Thank you for playing my game and your feedback, glad you liked it! I have some plans for new updates with the story, need more motivation after work for coding more haha
I absolutely love the Inscryption vibe. Everything fits together really well and feels pretty polished in general. The theme of the jam is also very well built into the game. The uncovering of card's effects and level up mechanic was really cool too, there's a lot to explore.
I kinda agree with other people saying a tutorial would maybe ruin some of the vibe, but I think at least the core mechanic should be explained a little. I wasn't sure at what point my purity would destroy me if it got too high, and at the same time I didn't know for how much purity I'd have to aim for in the next fight. This kinda led to me try harding having purity on the border of turning red, and still getting defeated in the fight. I think this had something to do with fighting against your previous runs, if I've noticed that correctly? But I think just knowing the next fight starting power of the enemy when preparing for the fight would be really helpful without taking too much away from the mystery atmosphere.
That being said, it's definitely one of the best games of this jam I've played so far. Really well done!
Wow thank you very much for your feedback, i appreciate it! You're right, i'm struggling with the tutorial section and what to show/not to show. Don't want to destroy the immersion, i need to figure something out haha.
If your number is red, it's too late already. The enemies on your table are NPC players in the same room and they play the same game as you (but they only play default cards).
This is a really cool game. I loved the art direction and the vibe of the game, everything felt and looked super polished, the UI and deck building elements especially. I was really confused in the beginning but after a few death I got the hang of it, I'm not even sure if adding a tutorial would be a good idea tho, cuz the confusion in beginning really adds to the games dark and mysterious vibes. Good job!
Thank you for your feedback! You're right, i also think that a tutorial takes away some of the mystery (even if it can be frustrating at first).
honestly a really interesting game, i loved how unique the gameplay is, discovering what cards do what and learning how to play the game on my own was a really refreshing take. awesome game!
Thank you very much for playing!
I really like the game! I felt that it adapts the theme well and is very polished. A fun deck builder, in this economy?! Heck yes! Give me more!
Haha thank you very much! Glad you liked it :)
this is definitely giving inscryption or even buckshot roulette energy. It’s very daunting. The environment is awesome too. I think a tutorial right off the bat could help with some initial confusion, but at the same time some people hate tutorials (can’t win lol). Also a deck builder is wild to do for a short jam so I’m surprised you even pulled it off! I think with some “helpers” tutorial and some polish on the hit boxes and more feedback from the game this could be a really awesome game in general. Good work and congrats on a submission 👌
Thank you very much for your feedback! Yeah you are right, i struggled with this tutorial section. I don't want to feed the player too much information, but you are completely right. It's confusing at first and some players might leave, but i think that's a risk i need to take? Haha
love it
welcome back inscryption
Thank you for playing! Yeah i love inscryption, can you tell? haha
