How are the contestants even gonna make the visuals? Are all the graphics premade? If the contestant is using a handmade game engine is it considered foul play? since they scripted the engine, which means they already started, and even without considering handmade engines, what about slow game engines like unity? Are they just gonna code the scripts while the project is still loading?(okay that might win them some time) all this is while assuming that they are not gonna test it, so one singular compiler error and they're eliminated.
The only games that are passing in this competition are the games made with (the game engine that fnaf was made with, I forgot) OR if one is lucky, a scratch game (there is a very high percentage that it's a 3d render project, since those are the meta in the scratch website, idk anymore, I don't scratch anymore), the reason why I say scratch is because scratch has a backpack tool, you can save the raycast, and the enemy loader, and if the contestant is foul enough, special stuff.
And i guess there's also html5, but that one is slower than the others and less impressive than scratch.
So uuhh, what is there to do in 160mins (yes, 160 minutes)
