Game coverage starts at 1:16:31

I got hit with copyright claims for the music. This does not affect the video at all, but wanted to let you know about said dings. If possible, controller support would be excellent! The click-and-drag works fine overall for now. Graphics are fine, pixely goodness. The big wave of banana peppers OBLITERATED me. I lasted 357 seconds in my best attempt.
Is it possible to survive the banana pepper onslaught?

Hey! With FQ9 ending soon, I wanted to let you know that I won't be able to cover your game until after the event. If you're okay with waiting, just keep the game on the event and I'll be getting around to it over the next couple of months or so. :)

That works for me! Thanks for letting me know.

  • Youtube Link / Twitch Link
  • Graphics : Mostly fine, could do with more though, animations are rather lacking , the overall view we have could do with more overall [e.g. PvZ has trees, a a fence, etc as decorations to flesh out the view]
  • GUI : Mostly fine, but really can use a touch-up.
  • Performance : Fine
  • Music / Sfx :
    • Music : Not great, quality seems a bit iffy
    • SFX : Not great , balancing and preventing the SFx from stacking is a bitt needed. It really becomes auditory overload.
  • Gameplay : PvZ but in a much simpler light, it's fine but basic.
  • Misc Issues :
    • SFx stackon top one another and get very very loud.
  • Notes :
    • Banana maxing is an unfair strat and needs nerfing.
    • Neapolitan feels like it might be a downgrade from the others , at the least by the time you get it, the bananas don't give you the time needed to properly reorganize your defenses
    • Survived 313s
  • Final Thoughts : As it is , it's rather a basic game that is pretty dang easy up until it's suddenly not and you lose without much chance to fix the situation. I'd frankly not mind another PvZ game if this is developed further considering the ignominious route PvZ has gone.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm still working on my pixel art and trying to make it better. I do agree that it needs a little more balancing for both the audio and the game itself.

This game is super fun! I made it to 262 seconds before those darn banana peppers got me. Now I gotta download plants vs zombies... I don't think I knew what I was missing!

This is a really small thing, but when I first started the game, I wasn't sure if the peppers were going to come from the right and head towards the left, or come from the bottom and head towards the top. Obviously, as soon as the first enemy enters, you get an answer, but it might be nice to have some arrows on the side or something to show what direction the enemies will come from. Other than that nitpick, I really liked this game! It was a lot of fun. Good job!

I played your game on stream around 2:45:55

Thank you for playing it! Good point with the direction issue I didn't even think about that. It was really cool to watch someone play my game and I'm glad you had fun playing it! BTW there is a jalapeno pepper and a waffle cone you unlock later in the game as well.

I do agree, chocolate is better!

I think a  graphic showing how the ice cream tree can be pulled from the side to the floor would help visualize what's going on.
