It doesn't work for me (htmlgame.js:1 POST /html-callback net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT)
Also - is this made with Defold? I see no track of it in console, but you might have changed the default HTML5 loader
here is a screenshot of the files from wavedash can see all your arcd files. Your error suggests its client side do you have any extensions etc, what browser did you use?
Does the wave dash site work?
My first thought was, wait, is this Defold? I have rarely seen 3d games on this scale made with this engine. I played on PC, and the only tiny lag happened when launching the game. That is impressive!
You can tell the game has depth, but the main tree chopping mechanic gives almost too much freedom, so it is kind of hard to chop a tree at the exact angle you want. I tried a few times to knock a tree down onto a round rock, and I only managed to hit it on my third try. 😂
That said, I am definitely not the target audience for these types of simulators. Even so, I really liked the theme and atmosphere of the game. I really like the forest in October! ❤️
The bureaucratic flavor text ("Efficient Deforestation Co. Time Card", "Operator: New Hire") paired with genuinely gorgeous 3D forest lighting is such a strong combo - and "one cut sets off a chain reaction" nails the jam theme directly. I ran into trouble with the pointer-lock click-to-play prompt not engaging in my browser setup, so I couldn't get into the actual sawing/felling gameplay, but everything I saw up through the tutorial looked really polished.
It’s impressive to see what can be done with Defold. The gameplay goals weren’t entirely clear to me, but I still enjoyed exploring the mechanics and seeing what the engine is capable of.
Thanks for the feedback! There are guide lines that take you to the next ‘mission’ and there is a quest info page. Would love some more info on what didn’t work for you, plan to make a VR version also.
So cool!
Thank you!
it's really impressive that Defold can be used to make such a good 3D game.
Thanks!
