We interpreted the theme "Return" both mechanically and narratively. The game takes place inside a desktop environment where the literal Return key acts as the antagonist actively interfering with your actions, hijacking inputs, and working to stop your progress.

No. Most of the assets were created completely from scratch during the jam, and any additional assets used were open-source/public domain resources from the GDevelop Asset Store.

Return was created by a small team of 3 student developers and one artist. For two of our team members, this is the very first game they have ever made! We had a blast building it together and hope you enjoy playing.
