Very impressive and really great!
Reminding me of good old COD Zombies, where you run around open boxes for guns
I LOVE IT!!
Impressive amount of polish, very reminiscent of Kino der Toten zombie map. Really liked being taken back to that time. Gameplay was fun, having to go around to avoid big masses of zombies.
Thank you very much !
We're glad we could bring you back to this CoD Zombies feeling :D
We'll make sure to keep improving the gameplay and designs for the future :)
Incredibly cool game. Very polished and felt very good to play. I didn't fully understand where exactly the RNG lies in the player though. Is it that my inventory is randomly filled into my gun? Or is it that each bullet is a die so the damage it does is dependent on the face it lands on? Or both? I didn't grasp that part.
Beyond this, really cool game, chapeaux
Thank you very much ! :)
We're happy to hear that you liked our game !
As you said the RNG regarding the character lies in its gun :
Each time you reload your bullets are selected randomly from your inventory (kinda like a deck of cards), and on top of that each bullet picked rolls a value from 1 to 6 which changes its damage and effects (depending on each element). You can check the effects on the board in the hall or just by hovering a die in your inventory or in the barrel directly :D
Very impressive, congratulations for making such a cohesive and finite game !! I really liked it :) The version I played did not lag at all, really smooth and fun experience. Wish there were more maps to explore
Your words are very kind thank you so much !
We'll definitely add more maps in the future ! :D
Good Job, it's very addictive ;)
Omggg thanks a lot ! That means a lot to us <3
This was so impressive to be done in 4 days. Very cool gameplay and visuals, I really enjoyed playing! Great job!
Thank you for your words, our team is very happy ! :)
Very nice visuals and lighting, and the UI is very pretty.
The game seems to borrow many ideas and mechanics from Call of Duty Zombies.
It is a bit slow, and very repetitive, I just stopped playing after wave 15. The gameplay is very easy and the waves mostly just get longer, not harder.
The zombies cries are very annoying, you should add more variety.
By the way, can the second level even be unlocked, or is it for a later update?
3D models, textures, pixel art, lighting, VFX, dithering, UI, mechanics… All of it with only 3 people. It’s unbelievable all of this was done in only 4 days…
Thank you for the kind words, we're happy to hear that !
Yes, Call of Duty Zombies was obviously a big inspiration, but we didn't want to stop there, so we also mixed in ideas from other games that we really like.
As for the difficulty curve, we're definitely working on it. We already have a lot of ideas for new mechanics and more gameplay depth, and we're planning to add new enemy types, more events, and more.
For the zombie sounds and the SFX in general, we did run out of time, so those will be reworked too haha.
And you're right about the second level: we changed its label from "Locked" to "Coming soon", since it was confusing, we just put it there so the level selection would be visual !
And just a small technical note: we did start everything from scratch when the jam began. I personally designed the 3D models in MagicaVoxel (props, structures and everything), and my friend 0xi0de handled the character and zombies models in MagicaVoxel, plus the pixel art in Aseprite. For the VFX we used it's all in the credits ! :)
Unlucky, i ran at 10 FPS on mac M1 with chrome browser, the game looks very fun :(. I tried to set graphics on mobile but didn't improves.
Thanks, we just released an update again to gain better performance but it seem that mac have some problem with our game ahah that is why we add a new build for mac that should work way better!
Really nice game, well done !
I a pretty agree with other feedbacks :
- the movements feel a bit slow
- sometimes I feel like the gun shot is not as precice as it should, like not going exactly where I clicked or the hit is unsure
- not really sure about the effect of the event dice like the lucky one
Just keep working, it's already really good, put me in a kino der toten mood haha
Thank you very much for your feedback!
To answer each of your points :
- We updated the movements animations to make them more natural. About the speed of the game we already have future ideas for movement speed bonuses etc... We just couldn't make it during the jam !
- You were right and we fixed the zombies' hitboxes to make the gunshots more precise. We also fixed the bullets' trajectory depending on the angle of the camera which results in a better aiming system !
- Indeed the description was not very clear and we made changes to some of the texts to clarify them better !
Hahaha we are so glad you caught our mood (Der Riese was my favorite map :D) ! We'll keep working on it hehe
very good game the ambience it's crazy and the sound effects are very good. I do feel that the gameplay it's a little slow, maybe sluggish but overall very nice done for a game jam
Thank you so much for you feedback !
We tried our best to make the ambiance feat with our ideas so we're very happy to hear that you liked it :)
We are currently working on the "sluggishness" of the gameplay to make it faster and more challenging (didn't have time to make it during the jam haha) ! Once again, thank you so much for your kind words :)
Great game! I had a blast playing it.
Here’s some feedback I have to help you improve it:
- Sometimes I feel like I’m aiming exactly where I should, but the zombie doesn’t die—or at least there isn’t a clear enough indication that I hit it
- I feel like the event die should be rolled more often; I’m on wave 11 and haven’t seen it much
- Some background music would really help make the experience even better
- Maybe add other types of zombies?
In any case, well done on this game!!
It means a lot to us thank you very much ! :)
We made improvements based on what you said :
- Improved the aiming system depending on the camera angle and updated the zombies' hitboxes that were a bit off.
- Yes it was a good point that you underlined, we changed it so that it happens way more often !
- We added some ambiance sounds to make the game feel more alive (adding background music is not really what we're aiming at for the game ambiance), and some props sounds.
- We're planning on adding more enemies to the game in the future, we just didn't have much time for the jam :D
Once again thanks a lot for you feedback ! Feel free to retry our game with its newest version :)
Very cool game, reminds me of Call Of Duty Zombies, I look forward for new maps and dices.
BTW, please nerf the wind blood dice, thx :)
Thanks a lot !!!! Yes we have a lot of ideas for the future ! :)
the game feels laggy and not really comfortable
Hello !
Yes, we had some performance issues due to debug values in a few areas...
Now it should be much, much better! Did you like the game though? Maybe you can give it another try! ;D
Edit: Oh, and if it's still not enough, you can now change the graphics settings in the options!
