Knee Deep in Slime by TwilightVerdict

This is an autobattler/tug-of-war of sorts, where you mostly watch pixelated anime girls fight the slimes.

LINK: I'm not sure if I'll finish, so I'll keep this blank for now, and I hate uploading half-finished trash.

The heart of my TINY game is watching anime girls clobber the slimes while strategically spawning new ones when the frontline gets slaughtered.

I’ll consider it finished when I have 4 anime girls to choose from and a working game loop.

Something I want to learn or try is a written script, as I'm a Construct refugee.

My first step is making the art.

My next check-in will probably be 10/11 October

Ooh cool. I really like your art style from the cover of Dungeon Friends. Are the anime girls going to be 2D illustrations like that? I bet a lot of the work will be just in animating them fighting / pulling the rope.

Since you're not sure if you'll finish, why don't you aim for 1 anime girl and a working game loop? I'd think a super simple way to start would be one action to take. You could also start by mocking up each screen in Paint or Aseprite or whatever and posting them here. They can be super dank but if you've got some idea of what actors are on screen and what actions can be taken, it might help your mental map.

Anyways, thanks for joining the jam! I'm subscribed to this topic now - cya on the 10th or 11th!
