John Big — feedback wanted on first mission & co-op feel (free browser top-down shooter)

Hi! I'm a solo dev and just released JOHN BIG, a top-down pixel cop shooter with fog of war, one-hit kills, a 10-mission campaign, an endless Tower mode and 4-player online co-op.

I'd love honest feedback on:

  1. Is it clear what to do in the first 30 seconds of mission 1?
  2. Do the controls and aiming feel good (mouse or touch)?
  3. If you try co-op with friends, did joining by room code work smoothly?

Thanks, I read every comment!

Hi there, I tried your game and I like the gameplay. I tried it on desktop, so aiming with the Mouse felt great and it was absolutely clear what to do. I even played some missions to get the feel.

I found AK ammo, so I guess there was an AK on the ground? Can I excange one of my guns for that AK? Didnt find an answer ingame.

Hey, thanks a lot for playing and for the kind words — really glad the aiming and the first missions felt clear!

And sorry for the late reply. Honestly, I didn't expect anyone to write here at all, so I only just noticed your post 😅

About the AK: it lies on the floor as a separate weapon pickup. Just walk over it and it's added to your loadout (you can carry up to 3 guns), then switch with the 1/2 keys. AK ammo can show up before you find the gun itself, which is confusing — great catch, I'll make that clearer in the game.

Thanks again, feedback like this helps a lot! 🙏
