Hey everyone! I've been working on Duality, a little arcade game where you play two different mini-games at the same time, one with each hand. Whenever you complete one, a new mini-game takes its place while the other side keeps going.

The individual games are simple: dodging obstacles, matching cards, solving math problems, Snake, and more. Keeping both sides under control is where things get tricky.

I'd love for you to give it a try and tell me how it feels. Are the controls easy to understand? Does the difficulty feel fair, or does it get frustrating too quickly? Are there any mini-game combinations you particularly enjoy or dislike?

I'm also open to feature requests, ideas for new mini-games, and any other suggestions. Honest feedback is welcome!

You can play directly in your browser, using WASD and the arrow keys or a controller:

The “try not to rage quit” idea intrigued me. It might be helpful to add a brief gameplay GIF demonstrating some of the hard moments as part of a preview for potential players. Best of luck with your game.

Like this?

I love this idea! Is this supposed to be a "play until you loose" type of game or is there an ultimate goal?

Hi, thanks for your message!

Since this is still a prototype, I initially created a game loop based on an Endless mode. After playing it quite a bit and getting some feedback, I came to the conclusion that, while Endless mode was fun, the game could benefit from short breaks between minigames, a clearer difficulty progression, and being a little more forgiving by giving players extra lives.

That's why I created Waves mode and made it the main game mode. There are 7 waves, but so far, nobody has managed to reach the end!

Since the game uses seeds, the idea is that players can write down a seed and use it to compete and compare scores with their friends.

So that's where the prototype stands right now.

That said, I'm completely open to suggestions, and I'm already considering implementing some of the ideas I've received.

So any feedback is more than welcome! What do you think? Are the minigames fun? Do you feel the game needs something more? Maybe even some kind of narrative?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Best regards!

Oh nice! I like the waves idea, I think the minigames are fun but, personally, I think it should be mostly old arcade style games and not as much of the question type mini games. I would think it would be a "lets see how well you know these old games" challenge!
