5019 1.2.7: an opening cinematic, and an opponent that decides for itself

The opening cinematic of 5019 is done. It is one long look at a monitor: the last report from the front, and then a question on a terminal.

1.2.7 went out the same day. What changed in the game:

  • The opponent has no build order and no timers now. It weighs what it could do next and picks for itself, so the same chapter goes differently each time.
  • Three agents can be called through a time machine, each with a power of their own.
  • Win chapter 10 and you can play all ten again from the sea's side.
  • Ships are built on land beside the yard and hauled down to the water.

Windows and macOS builds are on the itch page. It is on the Microsoft Store too.

A minute of chapter 5 in 4K, with the interface off: a fleet off the Mermaids' Isles and what the sea sends against it.

1.2.8 is on the Store: a tutorial chapter before Chapter 1. The line at the bottom says what to do; the panel at the side shows the keys or the mouse moving the way they are used.

chapter 5 played start to finish: landings at two beaches at once, the west island taken first, granaries on the islands nobody held, and their seat at minute 22.

minute 10 of chapter 5: nobody held this island, so a granary and a watchtower went up and four hands came over by boat.
